Aliya Torsekar is a second generation Indian-American illustrator based in New York. She is a graduate of the BFA Illustration program at the School of Visual Arts. She enjoys scientific and medical illustration, printmaking, bio-art, pattern design, and lifestyle illustration.

Her work features a variety of styles, spanning from intricate ballpoint pen figures to lighthearted, brightly colored illustrations. She loves to create work centered around the human figure, combined with elements of  botanical and medical illustration.
